Mokaya is a premium Chocolatier brand, based in Saudi Arabia. The brand specialises in handcrafted, artisan chocolates. With a rich legacy of crafting gourmet chocolates & retailing them in gifting arrangements, the brand was looking to diversify into Chocolate Café. Our role as Digital Partner was to make the brand more expressive on digital world.

Challenge
With Mokaya, our aim was to draw attention to the little-known chocolate brand of Saudi Arabia. The Middle East markets have a different user behaviour online. They consume the content, but seldom interact and engage with the brands.
Approach
We took a unique approach on Digital Media. From being only a product catalog of chocolates, the social media communication evolved to ‘selling the experience’ of gourmet chocolates. From ‘buy me’ the brand’s tonality moved to ‘come and celebrate with me’.
Strong Value
Strongly Positive partnered with Mokaya to clearly emotionalise the brand, and make it more than just chocolates. We gave a new boost to social media pages of the brand, driving higher clicks and gradual progression of user engagement.
For Strongly Positive, the aim was to create a strong level of brand connect on the digital media, and deep dive the consumer psychology to understand the discourses. We took the brand forward on to Digital Media and Social Media Platforms. It included having a cohesive Digital Strategy at the centre of everything we did - Website UI Design, managing Social Media Communication, Response Management, among others.
WEBSITE DESIGN
Strongly Positive’s goal for the new Mokaya website was not only to give the brand a modern feel, but also to create a simplistic and immersive digital experience. One that brings forth the special character of the brand online.
A website, designed for every screen — Our UI/UX Design encompassed thoughtfulness for the website to render beautifully, on every screen size. The website looks grid-based and provides for an intuitive user experience. The visual colour palette, combined with the purposeful chocolate imagery, brings out the same flavour of Mokaya, one that exists in their stores offline.
We believe that brands should look at digital media as just another media. The brands should communicate freely and truly, as they would in a brochure. On Digital however, the brands can interact with the consumers and engage them in meaningful two-way conversations.
Digital Media is not about saying a lot. It is about saying few, meaningful things, effectively.
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
On Social Media, we chose to work with Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as the mix, with Instagram being the main base for the brand. The category of chocolates is visually enticing, and thus the objective was the craft the brand communication with rich and powerful imagery across the social networks.
The bi-lingual communication, Arabic and English, appeals to all sets of customers, locals and expats.
